How’s that Workin’ For Ya? A Dr. Phil Rant

dr. philI’ve NEVER Watched DR. PHIL

In fact, I don’t know what channel Dr. Phil airs on and what’s more, I don’t give a shit.

I know nothing about Dr. Phil.

In fact, the only reason I know this phrase “How’s that workin’ for ya” is because I’ve heard it.

I’ve paid attention to whatever popular culture I’m privy to when I decide to bring my head out of my business and take a walk into the world of drama and bullshit, which I try to leave as quickly as I entered!  LOL

So, you think I’m selfish?  Really.

Because I don’t want to watch television and waste important hours in my life that I’ll never get back to watch Dr. Phil tell people, who have made every excuse in their life to have their 15 minutes of fame by being a drama queen, that they’re f*cked up.  What was their first clue?

Maybe you learn something.  Mostly you’re entertained and you’ve decided to ‘veg out’ for the afternoon because life is just so f*cking hard…Even if you did learn something, what about what you learn do you IMPLEMENT?

Do you think Dr. Phil IMPLEMENTS?

What do you think Dr. Phil is like outside of that television show?  Do you think he spends a lot of time on drama and bullshit?  Do you think Dr. Phil sits down for hours on end and bitches and moans and talks about his ‘need’ and his ‘lack’. Do you honestly think Dr. Phil is going to spend more than 5 minutes with you? Probably not, unless you got something that will serve the greater good and increase the bottom line:  the ROI.

That’s why Dr. Phil makes millions each year.  MILLIONS of dollars.  Because he doesn’t focus on the bullshit.

What’s the difference between you and Dr. Phil?  Do you think it’s because he has a television show? What do you really think the difference is between you and Dr. Phil?  I can tell you, it’s not what you think it is.

Dr. Phil decides and creates.  He implements.  Dr. Phil IMPLEMENTS M.M.A. e.g., money making activities.  How many do you implement?  I bet I can tell you, just on average that you SPENT more MONEY than you EARNED today.

95% do that every day.  In fact, 95% will end up DEAD BROKE.  Where do you think Dr. Phil will be?  Yep, he’ll have his millions and he’ll be making more money off that money and then he’ll figure out how to create even MORE from what he has.  Do you think that’s selfish?  You may want to get off my blog right now…we don’t resonate.

dr. philDr. Phil has MORE MONEY THAN YOU…

And he has more money than most people in this industry you know why?  Because he IMPLEMENTS. He doesn’t wait for someone to make a decision.  He decides.  He makes an executive decision, creates and implements.  He has no interest in mentally masturbating over his decision.  He just does.  Deals with the consequences and moves on.  That’s why he’s got millions.  He’s not that different from you or me for that matter.  Dr. Phil decides.  Dr. Phil creates.  Dr. Phil IMPLEMENTS.

What’s the difference between you and Dr. Phil?

So, what is it that Dr. Phil does that you CAN’T DO?  It’s not that you CAN’T do it, it’s that you CHOOSE NOT TO DO what Dr. Phil does, that’s why YOU DON’T HAVE what Dr. Phil has.  Dr. Phil did what others wouldn’t so that he could have what others don’t have right now.  Dr. Phil didn’t wake up one morning to a multi-million dollar contract to be a television celebrity.  Seriously?  Is that what you think?  Get your head out of your ass!

“Do what others won’t do today to have what others won’t have tomorrow.”

That’s the difference between YOU and Dr. Phil.

The Making of an Entrepreneur: 5 Ways to Build Value And What Actions To Take

Successful EntrepreneursSuccess is as Success Does:

The Rinse and Repeat Process

Today I was reading an email, not something I should be doing right now because I have so many other things I need to accomplish.  But, this particular email stood out and I wanted to share some of the most valid points this multi-millionaire network marketing professional decided to share with me.

This is one of those times when that nugget of information jumped out at me and I am going to use these powerful tools  to help my business achieve maximum results.  Today was one of those days when I read something I genuinely feel I should share with you.

making of an entrepreneurCaveat Emptor

Let the buyer beware.  As an entrepreneur I find there are things that resonate with me and then there are other things that really don’t.

As I’ve been told and hit over the head with many a time is to find a system I can use that shows me a valid and viable rinse and repeat process from those who’ve left clues.

Those who’ve been in the business and have proven their reliability as a network marketing professionals.  Those who’ve made millions by adding value.  There is a system out there for this, in fact, there are multiple systems.  The one that I have found that works for me may or may not work for you.  You’ll have to figure that out on your own.

Now, on to the reason I wrote this post in the first place….

What makes Them so Different?

What confounds me is how do they do it.  These millionaire network marketing professionals.  The fact these people are just like me, but their success is phenomenal is what baffles me and I have to ask myself,

So what makes them any different from you and me?

  • Is it mindset?
  • Is it unlimited pockets?
  • Is it who they know?
  • Is it what they know?
  • What is it that makes these people different?

Successful EntrepreneursDemigods of Network Marketing

These ultra-uber-super fantastic entrepreneurs who’ve created millions in their businesses by recruiting thousands in their downlines are seriously just like you and me.

They’re not demi-gods with halos around their heads, they’re just plain ‘ol folk, I know because I’ve met them.  I’ve had conversations with them, I’ve learned from them and I keep creating my business to be better because I want to achieve that level of success just LIKE them.

Now, maybe that sounds a bit kavitchy to you and you’re wondering why it’s so important to me to create that much success – let’s just put it this way; we all have our own reasons.  You have yours, I have mine.  The point is that success is as success does and this isn’t about me anyway, it’s about building your successful business.

So I’ve looked at a few things these people do that I can rinse and repeat myself.  One of them is to stop checking email! :0 I can tell you that’s a real waste of my time and yours too.  If we’re building our businesses we’re not getting there by creating more busy work for ourselves.  Leave the data entry and answering of emails for the outsourcing you’ll be doing sooner rather than later.  **I realize this statement flies in the face of what I just said. I have no excuse.  I’m writing this post because of an email I received and wanted to share with you, what can I say?!

I received these words from a very powerful network marketing professional in this industry whom I have met personally and have a great amount of respect for and who built his business from the ground up with nothing more than a cell phone and a lot of guts to dream the biggest dreams he could come up with – his is a story of inspiration.  He’s Jay Kubassek and he’s probably one of the most influential network marketing professionals this industry has ever seen.  Here’s what Jay has to say.

5 characteristics

1. Build relationships.

This is a skill set that good entrepreneurs and salespeople have that involves cultivating trust within others for you – and through that, trust in what you’re offering. And there are two types of relationships: physical and virtual.

Physical relationships are the most important, as they are the ones you interact with in real life. And you’ll never know when they will pay off, but you don’t look to make that connection just for the end result. Do it because of what the entrepreneur’s overall mission should be: helping people solve their problems and providing value to them. If you have an agenda outside of that, the relationship won’t have the same value to you down the line.

Relationships pay off in spades in ways you cannot possibly predict. These are the value of industry events where you can meet like-minded people who may one day benefit you in ways you won’t know now.

Virtual relationships (fans on FB/Twitter, email lists, etc.) are important too. There must be a strategy or reason these relationships exist. Think of them as little seeds you are planting, like redwoods in California. You can’t dig up seeds too quickly and try to harvest the fruit too early; they’ll yield that harvest when they are ready. Give nature its time to grow the relationship. Be proactive, be patient, and think long term.

2. Provide inspirational leadership.

Focused and deliberate mental energy is difficult to generate. We only have a finite amount of brainpower per day where you can be absolutely sharp and on your game. It’s what you do with that time that will make the day count. Being a student of leadership and committing to inspiring other people takes work and mental energy, but the payback is much more rewarding. It’s the best investment you can make in yourself. People want to be lead. Lead them, and they’ll appreciate (and reward) you for it.

3. Create content.

You can create or share content with others. People with similar interests will flock to you when you provide content that they are interested in. You can also write opinions on what you read and share. Every time people experience that value, they’re going to feel an attraction to you and what you offer.

4. Be a pattern interruption to people.

Be bold and help them step outside their comfort zone. Have those “1% conversations” with people, which are about taking the gloves off and holding people responsible for their own growth. It’s not about preaching to people; it’s about holding them accountable to themselves and what they’re capable of. They will love (and reward) you for it.

5. Whatever you are selling or promoting, make sure it does two of these three things: meet a need, solve a problem, or make life easier.

Makes sense, right? Those are the WHAT that provides value. Now, we go into the HOW you can do it here and now. Here are 10 concrete actions you can take that will help you maximize the value you’ll be able to provide (and through that, the rewards you’ll set yourself up for long term) as an entrepreneur:

Always look to grow and improve yourself. It’s a lifelong process.

Be around birds of the same feather. You’ll be amazed what you learn, and what you’ll teach.

Hang around the right people with similar goals and you’ll feel a greater drive to accomplish yours. Iron sharpens iron.

Be willing to consider new things you haven’t done before. There’s always something different you can do better that will yield better results.

There’s a lot of things we assume and project onto the world. These wrap us and constrict our possibilities. Don’t let you hold you back!

You already know what it means to lead – it means showing up the way you’re capable of showing up. It means being the example you know you can be.

Develop those sales and marketing skills. Experience different places and cultures to have perspective on what needs there are out there. You’ll have a better grasp of how to help with them.

8. Read.

There’s infinite content out there just waiting for your mind to absorb.

If you don’t like reading, get books on CD or video. Everyone is capable of absorbing info in some way.

10. Make sure you have 10 minutes a day where you have complete quiet time when your mind stays still.

Find a quiet place and exist in only your own space. Doing this, you’ll allow your subconscious mind to take over and have those “a-ha” moments. When you stretch your mind about something, it continues to work subconsciously behind the scenes even after the conscious thought has passed. And the next morning or week or whenever, you may find yourself hit by a moment of clarity inspired by that. (I find that late night is a great time to do this, because it primes your brain to fire up that subconscious part of it and work through the night.)
